Opt Outside and help prepare our Sanctuary Trails for the winter! We will rake all 4 miles of our NW Portland sanctuaries, which keeps them safe and accessible during the wet winter months. Please bring your own rakes and work gloves; we will have hot drinks and light snacks. Dress for the weather.
The #Opt Outside movement was launched in 2015, when REI decided to close its retail stores and encourage employees and shoppers to go outside. According to REI, “more than 1.4 million people and 170 outdoor companies, nonprofits and organizations chose to spend their Black Fridays outdoors. In 2016, #OptOutside quadrupled”.
