Providing Access, Building Community

Bienestar, a core contributor to Tree for All’s Paseos Verdes program, pursues a mission to “build housing, hopes and futures for the well-being of our community,” operating twelve multifamily properties for more than five hundred families in Oregon. More than ninety-five percent of Bienestar’s residents identify as Latino, and most are immigrants.

As an active Tree for All partner, Bienestar supports local organizations in their efforts to establish and deepen connections with local Latino communities.

Tree for All gives us a way to join hands with organizational partners and create opportunities for our residents to connect with local natural areas and experience the valuable health benefits of time in nature.

Bienestar [wellbeing in Spanish] specializes in hard-to-find two- and three-bedroom affordable housing units. In addressing the challenges posed by insecure living situations, they provide stability to families and give children a safe place to play. Bienestar also trains community liaisons, called “Promotores,” who help to foster thriving communities within the residences by offering programs like Paseos Verdes.
